Purpose

PurpleSensor exists to build an independent, publicly sourced dataset on CGM sensor performance across device types and over time. No such dataset currently exists. When you upload a CGM export file and generate a report, anonymized aggregate statistics from that analysis are retained and combined with submissions from other users. Once sufficient data has been collected, aggregated results will be made available on this site.

The tool itself — the report you generate — is produced entirely within your session and is not stored after you leave.

What we do not collect

Your uploaded file is processed and deleted immediately after your report is generated. Your IP address is not stored. Your filename is not stored. No individual glucose readings, timestamps, or any information that could identify you or reconstruct your glucose trace are retained in any form.

The only information written to our database is anonymized aggregate statistics: things like the number of sensors detected, the cluster rate, device type, estimated A1c, and approximate geographic region at the country or US-state level. None of this can be traced back to you or your file.
